In a bid to further boost its North America footprint, Danish transportation engineer COWI A/S said April 25 it would buy Finley Engineering Group, a Florida-based specialist in complex bridge design and construction.
No purchase price was disclosed for the 35-person firm, which would be a wholly-owned COWI unit when the deal closes, set for April 30.

COWI, which reported $992 million in 2020 global revenue and ranks at No. 44 on ENR's Top 225 Global Design Firms list, said Finley founder and CEO Craig Finley would be operations vice president for the southeast region at COWI North America Holding Inc.
Finley founded the firm in 2004 after an executive role at Parsons that followed its 2001 buy of his previous firm, Finley McNary Inc.
The purchase follows COWI's announced growth strategy in March to leave markets in Africa and the Middle East to focus on core areas.
