Ardurra Acquires New Jersey-Based Remington & Vernick Engineers

Ardurra said the cash and stock purchase closed this month and will increase its employee total to 2,600 across more than 120 offices nationwide.
Ardurra Group Inc., a Miami public works engineer, has acquired Cherry Hill, N.J.-based consultant Remington & Vernick Engineers in a deal the firms say would expand their consulting and design services across the Northeast.
Ardurra announced this month that the cash and stock purchase closed and will increase its overall staff to 2,600 across more than 120 offices nationwide. Remington & Vernick will initially operate as an Ardurra-affiliated brand before integrating its 500 employees across 14 offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and North Carolina into the parent's brand next year.
Remington & Vernick "has served its communities for more than a century, and we’re excited for what we will build together," said Ernesto Aguilar, Ardurra president and CEO. Founded in 1901, the acquired firm is a leader in design, planning, and construction management/inspection services in water, municipal, transportation and other markets in its region. It ranked. No. 248 on ENR’s 2025 Top 500 Design Firms list, with $97.3 million in reported revenue.
“Joining forces with Ardurra is an opportunity ... to build upon our strong reputation of quality service to our clients, with enhanced expertise and innovative tools,” said Remington & Vernick President and CEO Leonard Faiola.
Ardurra, ranked No. 75 on ENR’s 2025 Top 500 list with $419.3 million in reported revenue, said it has steadily increased its regional operations through acquisitions backed by private equity firm Littlejohn & Co. LLC, which purchased the engineering services firm in 2023. Ardurra completed five acquisitions last year across the U.S.
Addressing the company’s “aggressive” growth strategy in a podcast interview last year, Aguilar said its employees are an organic expansion of the firms' services at “about 20% a year.”
He said: “If you have a champion for something that you really love, they are going to grow it. That's more of our secret as opposed to [mergers and acquisitions].”
