LOUISIANA

The Louisiana Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority is planning to carry out a program of five hydrologic restoration projects. Grande Cheniere Ridge Marsh Creation will create up to 624 acres of marsh near Bayou Grande Cheniere, 12,480 ft of earthen ridge along Jefferson Canal, and 48,900 ft of earthen containment dike, a project valued at $65 million. Terrebonne Basin Ridge and Marsh Creation Project will create up to 1,430 acres of brackish and saline marsh and restore up to 80 acres of earthen ridge, valued at $157 million. Bird’s Foot Delta Hydrologic Restoration will restore the hydrology of the Mississippi River Bird’s Foot Delta by dredging Pass-a-Loutre, South Pass, and Southeast Pass to reconnect the river with the marshes of the eastern and central delta, valued at $6 million. Isle au Pitre Restoration will enhance nesting conditions on the island by elevating portions of the island with dredged sediment and planting suitable vegetation for nesting brown pelicans and wading birds, shell rakes for American oystercatchers and shell or small limestone on the perimeter of the island for tern and black skimmer nesting habitat, valued at $3.5 million. Terrebonne Houma Navigation Channel Island Restoration will enlarge the island from its current size of 32 acres to approximately 50 acres by importing dredged sediment from a nearby suitable sand source and disposing of it adjacent and onto the existing island, valued at $3.1 million. MAINE

Sandy River Co. and North Country Associates plan to build the Fallbrook Commons Care Center in Portland. The 90-bed nursing home will be a two-story, 58,197-sq-ft building on a 12.8-acre site. MINNESOTA

Saint Paul Regional Water Services is planning to carry out an improvement project to McCarron’s Water Treatment Plant. The project entails constructing new source water conduits from the terminal chambers to the water plant, lime softening solids contact clarifiers, recarbonation basins to replace the existing basin, a new ozonation treatment process for enhanced taste and odor control oxidation and disinfection, a new laboratory, office space and control room, and demolition of existing flocculation basin, three recarbonation basins and clarifiers. NEW YORK

Dynamic Star LLC is planning to develop Fordham Landing, a mixed-use project on a narrow strip of land on the east bank of the Harlem River in the Bronx. The 40-acre site was formerly a CSX rail yard. One building planned for the site is 320 West Fordham Road, a 17-story, 582,122-sq-ft mixed-use building with 602 apartments and 274 indoor parking spaces. A second building, 2475 Exterior Street, will be 495,000 sq ft, and contain affordable housing units, student housing, a public school, retail and office space. Ultimately, the development will comprise 2,800 residential units, a 700,000-sq-ft Life Science Center and a stadium for professional video gamers. Three acres will be devoted to public green space and waterfront amenities, including a community dock, kayak launch and a marina. The project is valued at $2.7 billion. TEXAS

3/28 Harris County is requesting qualifications for construction management-at-risk services for renovating the 1111 Fannin Building in Houston. The proposed project consists of renovations to a 17-story, 450,000-sq-ft office building with an integrated parking garage. The primary scope of renovation work will be MEP replacements and upgrades along with some minor interior renovation work.
