Colorado State University is planning a renovation and addition to the Clark Building on its Fort Collins campus, which houses many of its liberal arts departments. The project entails renovating 222,000 sq ft of existing space, building a 100,000-sq-ft addition to the A and C wings, and demolishing the B wing. The project is valued at $103 million. IOWA

Hope K Farms LLC is planning to build GrimesPlex, a 50-acre multiuse sports tournament complex in Grimes. It will have 70 athletic fields of various sizes, with as many as 26 baseball and softball fields and 13 football fields, as well as concessions, restrooms and an area for food trucks and vendors. MARYLAND

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is planning to build the Metrorail Heavy Repair & Overhaul Facility in Landover.  The project involves constructing a 340,000-sq-ft maintenance facility and a 560-space parking garage. The facility has been designed by Stantec, and Hensel Phelps Construction Co. has been chosen as the general contractor. Construction is expected to start in March 2022. MISSISSIPPI

Velocys PLC is planning to construct the Velocys Bayou Fuels Wood Biomass Refinery in Natchez. The biorefinery will convert forest residue and process waste from the paper and lumber industries, using the Fischer-Tropsch gasification process, into 33 million gallons of diesel or jet fuel per year. Velocys, a U.K.-based firm, has executed a strategic framework agreement with Koch Project Solutions for the biorefinery. Koch may be awarded an engineer-procure-construct contract. SOUTH CAROLINA

Oshkosh Corp. is planning to convert an existing 362,774-sq-ft warehouse building in Spartanburg into a plant where it will manufacture the United States Postal Service Next Generation Delivery Vehicle. Oshkosh has been awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the delivery of between 50,000 and 165,000 vehicles over a period of 10 years. Oshkosh will produce a modern fleet of both zero-emission battery electric vehicles and fuel-efficient low-emission internal combustion engine vehicles, with the option of producing any combination of models. UTAH

Miller General Contractors is planning to build The Huxley Apartments at 74 S. 600 West in Salt Lake City. The seven-story, 318,570-sq-ft building will contain 212 apartments, 210 parking stalls, an outdoor pool, clubhouse and 1,365 sq ft of commercial space. It is being designed by AE Urbia. Construction has begun building the Boys Town Education Center, a three-story, 110,000-sq-ft building in Boys Town, which will replace its former 350-student high school. 12/1 The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is seeking bidders to construct the Shoreline Consolidation Sewer in Cleveland. The work involves constructing a 5,100-ft-long soft ground micro-tunnel parallel to, and north of, the CSX railroad corridor north of Lakeside Avenue from East 40th Street to East 55th Street, where it will connect to the Shoreline Storage Tunnel Shaft 3.
