The project scope includes construction of brine supply and injection wells and pipelines; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of brine storage tanks, reactors, and sorbent loading, washing, stripping, polishing, crystallizers, filtration, bagging, flow and process control and loadout equipment. KENTUCKY House Foods America Corp. is planning to construct a tofu production facility on a 30-acre site at the Jefferson Riverport Industrial Park in Louisville. The project scope includes construction of a 350,000-sq-ft building and purchase and installation of soaking, grinding, heating, separating, coagulating, weighing, mixing, belt pressing, sterilization, cutting, packaging, sealing and pasteurizing equipment. Construction is expected to begin in 2022 and be completed in 2025. The facility will be used for the production of tofu and other soy-based food products. The estimated EPC cost is $146.3 million. OREGON Micro Systems Engineering Inc. is considering expanding its medical device manufacturing facility on its five-acre site in Lake Oswego. The project scope includes demolition of a building, construction of a new production building with cleanroom space, and purchase and installation of automated folding, underfilling, integration and testing equipment. A construction schedule will be developed following corporate approvals, which are expected by the end of 2021.
