Alabama Warrior Met Coal Inc. is planning to construct a coal terminal near Jasper. The project scope includes construction of a building and purchase and installation of conveying, barge-loading and other coal-handling equipment. Warrior will use the facility to transport metallurgical coal from its proposed mine and processing facility in Brookwood. The estimated EPC cost is $50 million. Georgia Batter Up Foods LLC is planning to establish a breakfast foods production facility at Fulton Industrial Park in Atlanta. The project scope includes renovation of the 102,000-sq-ft former Kellogg building and purchase and installation of ovens, mixers, stainless steel tanks, and freezing and packaging equipment. The plant will have the capacity to produce 580 million frozen waffles and pancakes per year. Construction is expected to begin in June 2020. Batter Up Foods is an affiliate of SatisPie LLC. Indiana INOX Market Service Group is planning to construct a stainless steel processing center in Muncie. The project scope includes construction of a 140,000-sq-ft building, relocation and installation of slitting and forming equipment to be imported from Italy, and purchase and installation of overhead cranes. Briner Building has been selected to provide design-build services. INOX will use the plant to process stainless steel coils for large appliance, elevator and escalator manufacturing and other industries. The estimated EPC cost is $15 million. Virginia Staunton River Plastics LLC is planning to construct a plastic container manufacturing plant at the Southern Virginia Multimodal Park in Hurt. The project scope includes construction of a 250,000-sq-ft building and purchase and installation of polymer storage silos. A design-build firm for the building will be selected from a short list that includes Samet Corp. and Blair Construction Inc. Staunton River Plastics, a subsidiary of RAGE Corp., will use the plant to produce plastic containers for the health and beauty industry. The estimated EPC cost is $34 million.
