Wisconsin The Milwaukee County Dept. of Public Works plans to restore the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory Domes and transform the park into an urban botanical area with a restaurant, wedding venue, amphitheater and tennis courts. The three beehive-shaped glass domes are the world’s first conoidal domes, 140 ft dia and 85 ft high, erected between 1959 and 1967, and have been found to still be structurally sound.
