Arizona Alliance Metals USA is planning to construct an aluminum smelter in Wenden. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of a feed hopper, crushers, screens, an X-ray machine, rotary and holding furnaces, a baghouse, a lime injection system, and casting and handling equipment. The facility will be used to process scrap metal into aluminum ingots and T-bars for use in the automotive, aerospace and military industries. The estimated EPC cost is $30 million. California BlueNalu, Inc. is planning to establish a cell-based seafood pilot plant adjacent to its offices and research and development facility in San Diego. Florida CarbonLITE Industries LLC is planning to construct a polyethylene terephthalate recycling plant near Orlando. The project scope includes design and construction of building space and equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; purchase and installation of a pneumatic conveying system, hoppers, and grinding, densifying, extrusion and crystallization equipment. The plant will have the capacity to produce 70 million to 80 million lb of food-grade pellets per year. Construction is expected to begin in 2021. The estimated EPC cost is $80 million. Florida Bimbo QSR is planning to build a commercial bakery at an unselected site in the southeastern U.S. Sites in Florida, Georgia and Mississippi are among those being considered. Project scope includes design and construction or renovation of building space; purchase and installation of automated conveyors, ingredient storage and dispensing, mixing, blending, baking and freezing equipment. A construction schedule will be developed after site selection, which is expected in the second quarter of 2020. Bimbo QSR, a division of Mexico-based Grupo Bimbo, will use the plant to produce fresh and frozen buns and artisan rolls for restaurant chains. The estimated EPC cost is $18 million. Massachusetts Parallel Products of New England Inc. is planning to construct a transfer station and biosolids drying facility in New Bedford. The project scope includes construction of a 48,900-sq-ft building with tipping floors and seven 70-ft-tall exhaust stacks, and a 30,000-sq-ft biosolids drying building with twelve 400-ft-tall exhaust stacks; laying of track and rail; erection of solar panels; and purchase and installation of waste receiving, handling, sorting and separation equipment. The transfer station will have the capacity to accept 1,500 tons of municipal solid waste and construction and demolition debris per day. The estimated EPC cost is $50 million. Minnesota Dairy Farmers of America is planning to upgrade its dairy processing plant in Zumbrota. The project scope includes installation of a cheese and specialty powder dryer. Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2020. The plant produces hard Italian cheese, cheese and dairy powders, liquid creams and condensed whey. Virginia Total Fiber Recovery is planning to establish a recycled pulp production facility in Chesapeake.
