Kentucky Tokai Carbon GE LLC is planning to expand its graphite electrodes manufacturing facility in Hickman. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; and installation of a furnace, conveyors, shot blasting and milling equipment. SSOE Group has been selected to provide EPC services for the project. Site preparation is expected to begin in April 2020. The estimated EPC cost is $25 million. North Carolina GoldenHome Co., Ltd. is considering constructing a cabinet manufacturing plant on a 60-acre site at The Grounds at Concord in Concord. The project scope includes design and construction of 700,000- to 800,000-sq-ft of building space, and purchase and installation of air compressor and dust collection systems, saws, and woodworking, milling and fabrication equipment. China-based GoldenHome will use the plant to produce wood cabinetry for the residential construction market. The estimated EPC cost is $86 million. Pennsylvania South Mill Champs is planning to construct a mushroom farm and processing facility on 134 acres in Elk Township. The project scope includes construction of a 900,000-sq-ft building; installation of aerated bunkers, pasteurization and incubation tunnels, heating, temperature and humidity controls, and cooling systems; and purchase and installation of hoppers and conveyors. South Carolina Georgia-Pacific is planning to expand its 230,000-sq-ft paper plate and bowl manufacturing plant on Old Florence Road in Darlington. The project scope includes construction of a new warehouse, and purchase and installation of a plate printing press, converting machines, conveyors and packaging equipment.
