Arkansas Highland Pellets LLC is planning to construct a wood fuel pellet plant on a 300-acre site in Stephens. The project scope includes construction of building space; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of four production lines including wood waste receiving and handling equipment, bucket elevators, coolers, storage silos, screens, and hammer and pellet mills. The plant will have the capacity to produce 750,000 metric tons of wood pellets per year. Construction is expected to begin in late 2019. The plant will operate as Highland Pellets South LLC. Minnesota Airgas Inc. is planning to construct an air separation unit in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The project scope includes construction of equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; and purchase and installation of a cryogenic heat exchanger (cold box), evaporators, gas storage tanks and compressors. New York SAF-GLAS LLC is planning to construct an architectural glass fabrication plant at the former LaFayette Hills Golf & Country Club in Fayetteville. The project scope includes renovation of an existing building; construction of an 80,000-100,000-sq-ft building; and purchase and installation of fabrication, laminating and grinding equipment. North Carolina Becton, Dickinson and Co. is considering expanding its 100,000-sq-ft medical products manufacturing plant in Mebane. The two-phased project scope includes design and construction of approximately 300,000 sq ft of building space and purchase and installation of plastic injection and rubber molding presses and fabrication and machining equipment.  The plant will produce sample collection devices for cancer diagnosis.
