California Urban Commons, the company that operates the ocean liner Queen Mary as a tourist attraction and hotel, is planning on developing 65 acres of waterfront property in Long Beach, alongside the ship, into a massive entertainment complex called Urban Adventure Center. It will feature a 7,000-seat amphitheater, 500,000 sq ft of entertainment and retail, and a public music performance space. The complex will feature a 150,000-sq-ft facility with 22 sports and entertainment activities, including two rooftop surf pavilions, a zip line, a roller coaster, an indoor ice climbing venue and a ropes course.
