Alaska The Native Village of Eyak is planning to construct the Cordova Shepard Point Oil-Spill Response Facility. The project includes a 4.5-mile-long access road, a deepwater dock with a 600-ft-long dock face and 32 ft of water depth at mean low water, and a staging and loading area adjacent to the dock. Delaware Capano Management Co. plans to redevelop the former Brandywine Country Club site in Wilmington. The plan for the 120-acre site includes 138 single-family attached and detached homes, 360 apartments and two commercial buildings, one 5,500 sq ft and the other 10,000 sq ft. Indiana RTM Ventures, a joint venture of Cross Street Partners, Greenstreet Ltd. and Biggs Development, is planning to develop the former General Electric campus in Fort Wayne into Electric Works, a multi­use development. The 31-acre site includes 18 buildings and more than 1.2 million sq ft of space, where GE in 1911 began manufacturing motors, generators and transformers. The final business units there, a motor testing lab and an executive center, closed in January 2015. Electric Works Phase I will convert 616,000 sq ft of space: 224,000 sq ft of office space, 113,000 sq ft of educational/institutional space, 83,000 sq ft of retail space, 83,000 sq ft of innovation space, 82,000 sq ft of residential space and 31,000 sq ft of recreational space. Louisiana The City of Baton Rouge is planning Phase II of the Picardy–Perkins Connector. Phase II involves completing the four-lane section from Perkins Road to The Mall of Louisiana Boulevard, including bridges and a railroad underpass. Phase II is valued at $25.6 million. Massachusetts Autiello Construction has begun building a 100,000-sq-ft building in the Myles Standish Industrial Park in Taunton for Rhino Capital Advisors LLC. The building will contain 80,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and 20,000 sq ft of office space. It will be leased to NN Inc.’s Power Solutions group, which manufactures a range of high-precision metal and plastic components and finished products for the aerospace and defense markets. Nevada The Naval Facilities Engineering Command has awarded Straub Construction a $16.8-million firm-fixed-price contract to construct an air wing training facility at Naval Air Station, Fallon. The 25,000-sq-ft building will contain desk-style aircraft simulators, Virtual Aegis Combat simulators, F-35 Mission Rehearsal Trainers, unmanned aerial system simulators, E-2D simulators and support spaces. The facility will be constructed with reinforced concrete masonry with seismic upgrades, reinforced concrete slab, structural steel framing, and an elastomeric roof. Alabama 10/19 The Federal Highway Administration is seeking bidders to carry out a highway improvement project on the Natchez Trace Parkway. The work involves resurfacing, placing aggregate-topsoil, signing and striping approximately 17.6 miles of the parkway, including ramps, parking areas, and access roads, from milepost 313.60 to milepost 331.20 in Colbert and Lauderdale Counties.
