Bauer Darr

Linda Bauer Darr has been named president and CEO of the American Council of Engineering Cos., effective in August, according to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, which announced on June 6 her resignation as president next month, a post she has held since 2014.

The group represents 600 short line and regional railroads and supply firms. Bauer Darr also was CEO of the American Moving & Storage Association and was a U.S. Transportation Dept. deputy assistant secretary for budget and programs in the Clinton administration.

She is set to succeed David A. Raymond, who is retiring from the role at the 5,000-member ACEC after 19 years. He joined the advocacy group in 1999. An ACEC spokesman says the group’s board will vote on Bauer Darr’s hiring in July.
