Jelena Kovacevic will join New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering, Brooklyn, as dean, effective in August. Currently heading Carnegie Mellon University’s electrical and computer engineering department, her research includes applying data science to smart infrastructure. Kovacevic will succeed Katepalli Sreenivasan. He remains Eugene Kleiner professor for innovation in mechanical engineering. NYU, which merged with Polytechnic University in 2014 to create Tandon, has committed $500 million to improve its facilities and programs.
Alastair Kenyon has left his role as head of AECOM’s London commercial operation to join Alinea Consulting LLP, a cost consultant also based in London, as partner. Alinea, created in 2013 by former executives from Davis Langdon and EC Harris, has revenue of about $17.6 million, says U.K. industry publication Building.
