The project will feature 87 single-family detached homes on 60-ft-wide lots in Parcel A and 106 attached single-family homes arranged in duplex or triplex buildings on lots ranging from about 36 to 47 ft wide in Parcel B. California The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is planning to modernize the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant, in San Francisco. The project entails replacing biosolids digester facilities and modernizing the existing 60-plus-year-old treatment system using the Cambi thermal hydrolysis process. The system will produce higher-quality biosolids, capture and treat odors, and maximize biogas use and energy recovery. Illinois The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is planning to carry out a major rehabilitation of LaGrange Lock, a 110-ft x 600-ft structure built in the 1930s on the Illinois River in Versailles. The work will include dewatering and protecting the lock chamber; removing debris within the lock chamber; blasting; installing lock dewatering observation wells; cleaning lock-chamber floor weep holes; removing and replacing horizontal concrete; vertical concrete line-drilling, saw-cutting, blasting and grinding; precast-concrete panel fabrication and installation; constructing four Tainter-valve concrete protective piers; removing and replacing miter-gate anchorage; removing and replacing miter-gate machinery, including rotary actuators; removing and replacing Tainter-valve cylinder; and removing and repairing Tainter valves. Virginia Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Centers is planning to build the Sheltering Arms Rehab Institute at West Creek Medical Park, in Richmond. The seven-story, 200,000-sq-ft building will be a 114-bed hospital. HDR Inc. is the designer, and Hourigan Construction Co. is the general contractor. The project is valued at $119 million. New York 1/31 The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is seeking bidders to replace the roof of the traffic control tower at JFK Airport. The project includes testing, repairs and partial replacement of structural support components for the glass curtain walls; repair and replacement of the mechanical and electrical equipment on the roof; and temporary relocation of the roof-located antennas and other communication equipment, which is required to accommodate the replacement of the roof. Ohio 3/8 The Ohio Dept. of Transportation is seeking bidders to replace a bridge—between South River Road-state Route 60 and Old River Road-County Route 6, north of the Village of Philo—over the Muskingum River in Duncan Falls. The 1.25-mile project includes the bridge approach, roadway improvements and structure design. It is anticipated that a new structure will be constructed in another location in order to allow connection between Duncan Falls and Philo, allowing traffic to use the current structure during the construction phase.
