Mixer Truck: New at World of Concrete 2016
Introduced at World of Concrete 2016, held in Las Vegas on Feb. 2-5, the Putzmeister Pro Series Concrete Mixer Truck has been redesigned for easier maintenance and a lower overall weight. The pedestals that hold the mixer drum are now lighter than in earlier models, with fewer parts and larger access holes. Compared to earlier models, the mixer drum has been moved to a steeper angle, which increases overall capacity without significantly affecting loading and unloading times. Gas-powered saws: New Easy-Start Feature
Also featured at World of Concrete 2016, two new, gas-powered concrete saws from Hilti boast a new quick-start function that automatically adjusts the choke to reduce strain on the starter rope. The DSH 700-X is a 70cc saw available in 12-in. and 14-in. models; the DSH 900-X is a 90cc saw that comes in 14-in. and 16-in. models. The saws’ air-filtration system circulates the air before it enters the engine, reducing the amount of dust and debris sent through the filter. Maintenance has been simplified by improving access to the starter rope, spark plug and fuel filter. Hilti; www.hilti.com
