The dollar value of construction starts through the first 10 months of 2015 is up 10% from the same period of 2014, notes Dodge Data & Analytics. The biggest annual percentage gain comes from the non-building market, which is up 29% from a year ago, Dodge reports. Residential building construction also made strong gains, outpacing last year’s rebounding market by another 15%. The non-residential building market is still 6% below a year ago; however, it posted a strong monthly increase of 32% in October.
