The new Ultra V Series engine-driven pumps are able to handle solids and move up to 1,825 gallons per minute of water to a maximum head of 175 ft. These pumps can be used in municipal waste systems as well as for the removal of water at construction sites. According to the manufacturer, the engine-driven design allows the Ultra V to function under loads where traditional trash pumps fail. They also feature an increased suction-port size and refined impeller design over earlier models, as well as lower noise levels. The Gorman-Rupp Co.; 419-755-1011; www.gormanrupp.com
