Excend Inc; 201-722-3858; www.excendinc.com he 1000 kW Rental Power Unit is intended to provide temporary power to construction sites, commercial buildings, industrial plants and public works facilities. The trailer-mounted generator is 30 ft long and almost 6,000 lb lighter than similar generators. The generator meets Tier 2 emissions standards, and has selectable voltages for customization to changing power demands, with one model capable of switching quickly from 208 VAC to 480 VAC. An integrated fuel tank allows a running time of 30 hours at 75% load. The generator is capable of operating in temperatures up to 113¡ F, and is relatively quiet during operation, producing only 75 dB when measured at a distance of 23 ft. he YC-2040 model of the Caviblaster system cleans underwater surfaces by applying the science of ultra cavitation. This technique requires a much lower overall water pressure for operation, but is more efficient at removing marine growth than traditional systems. This model can cleans steel, concrete, wood, rubber, fiberglass and fabric without damaging the material, and also is capable of cleaning surfaces to bare metal, removing any oxidation or coatings. The unit weighs 2,400 lb and has a discharge pressure range of 100 psi to 2,400 psi. Studies by the manufacturer have found that the strain on the diver’s arm while operating the cleaning nozzle is comparable to that of holding a cup of coffee. dded to concrete mix prior to pouring, Barrier-1 Admixture is intended to significantly inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. The admixture will work in all kinds of concrete applications, including standard floor-slab construction. The admixture is capable of preventing problems such as black mold and other persistent problems with floor slabs under humid conditions. The admixture is comprised of a blend of silicates, hydroxides and a powerful antibacterial agent. When mixed into the concrete, it will prevent moisture migration and capillary action within the slab. This also increases the density of the concrete, raising the concrete’s overall strength by an average of 14%. wo poured, self-leveling underlayments have been added to the DUROCK line of products. Both underlayments set rapidly and resist shrinkage and cracking. The underlayments come pre-sanded in a bag for easier jobsite mixing. The DUROCK multi-use self-leveling underlayment is intended for concrete and wood floors in wood frame construction, and has a compressive strength of 3,500 psi, which is achievable within seven to ten days after application. DUROCK quick-dry self-leveling underlayment is intended for commercial, institutional and renovation construction. It has a compressive strength of 5,000 psi to 6,000 psi, and it dries within a day, allowing floor coverings to be installed as soon as fifteen hours after pouring. DUCON is a micro-reinforced concrete intended to provide extensive protection against blast forces. The concrete is highly resistant to the effects of intense heat, explosive and impact forces as well as conventional ballistics. Recent tests by the manufacturer have shown that DUCON provides effective protection against both mortar contact detonation and standoff detonation. In concrete-column blast-resistance tests, traditional concrete had a remaining strength of only 15.9% following a standoff detonation of 220 lb of explosives at 2 ft 4 in., while DUCON retained a strength of 82.6% to 100%. Similarly, in contact detonation trials, traditional concrete only had a strength of 4.8% after 11.1 lb of explosives was used, while DUCON had a strength of 49.3% to 65.9% after such a blast. DUCON is water and abrasion resistant, and withstands the effects of freeze-thaw cycles.
