Barrier
New Blow- Mold Technolog
Roadguard/2, a water-ballasted, energy-absorbing plastic barrier, is the first portable Jersey-style barrier to be manufactured by the blow-molding process using high-density polyethylene plastic. This technology produces a barrier that is lighter in weight, yet still stronger than competitive rotationally molded, low-density plastic Jersey-style units. The double-chambered, 80-lb barrier is easily handled and deployed. Roadguard, a div. of Traffic Safety Devices Inc.; 877/655-8734; www. roadguardbarrier.com

Hydraulic Core Drills
Reduced Fuel Consumption
A line of low-vibration, hydraulic-powered core drills is designed for free-hand use, but also can be mounted on standard rigs. While intended for drilling in rock, concrete and brickwork, these 18-lb units also can be used in wood and steel applications and in underwater wet-diamond core drilling. The hydraulic power packs, used to power the four LCD models, feature a power-on-demand system that automatically decreases the packs engine speed when the tools are disengaged. Rebar bender
Compact Design
The Jimmy hydraulic rebar bender allows contractors to easily bend No. 4 and No. 11 rebar after it has been placed in concrete. The unit will bend rebar up to 180. Minimum bend is from 5 to 14 in. The rebar bender is available in seven models, ranging in weight from 22 lb to 110 lb. Its compact design allows simple bending in space-restricted environments. Power for the portable tool is provided by a separate 1 1/8-hp, 10,000 psi drive motor, model JPU1. It also comes standard with a 25-ft long remote control. All seven models in the series use an ACI-approved bending wheel to deliver accurate bends, says the manufacturer. Multiquip Inc.; 800/421-1244; www.multiquip.com
