Manufacturer introduces a new starting, lighting and ignition (SLI) battery that provides up to 70% more starting power at low temperatures than traditional wet cell batteries. The ODYSSEY PC2150 is designed for heavy-duty deep-cycle applications ranging from over-the-road trucks and construction equipment to fire trucks and more. It weighs 75 lb and has a service life of six to eight years and can be stored for up to two years at 77 when fully charged. The new MLT 627 telehandler is an update to model MLT 526. It incorporates EPA Tier II compliant engines, mono ultra joystick control and the standard torque convertor transmission with an electro-hydraulic reversing lever. The MLT 627 also is equipped with two cab-mounted work lights in the front and one in the rear in addition to the road lights found on all models. Manufacturer adds the option of a radio remote boom control to several of its telehandler models. The system allows the telehandler boom to be raised and lowered, extended and retracted from the remote-control pendant. Operators also can shut down or start up the engine with the remote. By equipping operators on the platform with this system, they no longer will need anyone in the cab to get them into position. The remote features self-diagnostics and frequency-hopping spread-spectrum technology that initially was developed for military applications. New coatings, Series 626 Dur A Pell GS and Series 680 Mark A Way, are designed to shield structures from graffiti and remove it. They can be used on all kinds of buildings, bridges, sound walls, roadside structures, water tanks and industrial complexes that suffer from vandalism.
