RoadTamer suspension offers heavy-duty work truck operators a smoother ride and increased control while towing building, construction or landscaping trailers. It combines a fully engineered air suspension, comprised of two control arms and a control link (panhard rod) that is installed laterally between one of the control arms and the frame. The system also features the makers exclusive SmartAir electronic height controlled automatic leveling system that is used in conjunction with a heavy duty compressor for complete hands-off control. The new 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Box-Off 4x2 dual-rear-wheel model is designed for utility/service bodies, flat beds, stake bodies, landscaping, dry box, aerial devices and other applications. Available in regular and Quad cab models, it offers commercial work truck customers easy upfit capability due to its frame rail rear spacing of 42 in. The new model provides heavy-duty towing and payload capability with a maximum 11,000 lb gross vehicle weight rating and a maximum payload capability of 5,500 lb. Manufacturer updates its work truck product line for vocational and on-highway customers who need a sleeper truck in their operation. Three sleeper options and a new interior design package are available for A-Line and L-Line set-back tractors. They also feature a bolt-on sleeper design. This type of sleeper is suitable for resale because it can be easily removed, the company says. These non-marking extreme-duty solid Flexport tires can be used on concrete, stone, indoor floor material, driveways and walkways. Flexport technology describes the elliptically shaped holes molded through the outer ring of the side wall. The shape of the holes helps reduce cracking and chunking that occur on conventional solid tires with a round-hole design, the maker says. The tires are available in two sizes, 31x 6 x 10 in. and 33 x 6 x 11 in. They also are 31% wider than other solid tires. Two portable compressors, the AirSource and AirSource Plus, feature a new lockable canopy, made of a composite material that is lightweight, aerodynamic and virtually indestructible. Both units come in a compact size, with an overall width of 67 in. and overall height of 59 in. They also feature curbside controls and service valves that help keep operators away from traffic while starting the machine and hooking up tools. The AirSource model provides power to two tools simultaneously. It has an output of 160 cfm at 100 psi. The AirSource Plus offers 185 cfm at 100 psi.
