Present Bush said on Nov. 30 he will nominate Dept. of Energy General Counsel David R. Hill to head the Environmental Protection Agency’s Air and Radiation Office. Hill next would face a Senate confirmation hearing. But Jeff Holmstead, former chief of EPA’s air office, says he doesn’t expect Hill’s nomination to be controversial. “Because of the nexus between energy and environmental issues, he’s pretty up to speed on a lot of things,” Holmstead says.
