Texas Masonic Retirement Center, Hurst Conference Center Pick AUI Contractors
Liberty Mutual Surety selected Fort Worth-based AUI Contractors to complete an apartment project on the Texas Masonic Retirement Center campus in Arlington. The project was approximately 40% complete when AUI assumed the management of the project.
The firm was also selected to build the new 53,400-sq-ft Hurst Conference Center using a CM-at-risk method of project delivery. Ron Hobbs Architects of Garland provided architectural services for the project.
The Texas Masonic Retirement Center project is a five-story, 55,000-sq-ft structure containing a parking garage at the lower level, offices and physical therapy at the second level, and 12 two-bedroom duplex units, independent living quarters, and a nursing center on the upper levels. Delays mean the project, originally scheduled for a 2009 completion, is now estimated to wrap up in summer 2010.
