Castro County Maintenance Project Widens FM 1055, FM 2943

The Texas Dept. of Transportation began work on improvements to FM 1055 and FM 2943 in Castro County in early fall. The $8-million project calls for rehabilitating and widening the existing roadways. It includes a three-course surface treatment.

J. Lee Milligan of Amarillo will refurbish 15.6 mi of roadway. The project is expected to take 15 months to complete.
