A 5,741-sq-ft addition to Sagle Elementary School in Bonner County adds classrooms and mechanical and electrical upgrades to the existing 28,972-sq-ft building.

The addition consists of four classrooms and restroom facilities. Other work includes mechanical and electrical upgrades. Builders are matching the existing wood frame structure, along with stucco and a metal roof.

In conjunction with this project, Architects West has also designed an expansion of Kootenai Elementary School, also in Bonner County, and also being built by Panco Construction.

Kootenai Elementary will add 28,819 sq ft to the existing 13,127-sq-ft building. The single-story building will include 11 new classrooms, a technical lab, library, office facilities and a gymnasium, along with a kitchen remodel. The project will complete in July. Both projects total $5 million.
