Leprino Foods hired Burkett Design to create a 7,000-sq-ft facility in Singapore that would eventually become the prototype design and concept for the firms other facilities worldwide.

Holland & Hart won first place for Commercial Interior Design for Over 15,000 Square Feet from the ASID and first place for BEST Awards Workplace Over 25,000 Square Feet from the IIDA.

The design concept for this 66,000-sq-ft office space was to showcase the power and talent of the partners and convey a sense of joy and comfort for visitors, according to Burkett Design.

“Details are simple yet carefully articulated, creating a sense of discovery as one looks more closely,” says Gillian Johnson, lead designer on the project. “An inventive combination of traditional materials such as wood, glass and metal identifies this firm as a being rooted in tradition, yet progressively looking toward the future.

“Visually paramount was the bold bumble bee stripe carried throughout the millwork and more subtly in the flooring and ceiling of the boardroom,” Johnson says.

The Leprino Foods Innovation Center won first place for Commercial Office Design Elements from the ASID. One of the world’s largest food manufactures, Leprino Foods hired Burkett Design to create the 7,000-sq-ft facility in Singapore, which would eventually become the prototype design and concept for their other facilities worldwide.

“Our Denver crew worked directly with Leprino’s international team to help translate their ideas and concept into design features for this – and future – facilities,” says Amy Burkett, principal of Burkett Design.
