The City College of San Francisco's LEED Gold-targeted, $104.67-million campus, delivered in June 2012, comprises two buildings. The 14-story main building includes faculty offices, a library, classrooms, laboratories, apparel design space, a lobby and double-height student lounges. The four-story annex includes a multi-purpose auditorium, the Culinary Arts and Hospitality program and a café.

The tight 100-ft-by-120-ft site on a busy Chinatown intersection presented safety challenges for the contractor. A hydraulic exterior cocoon system climbed the building as the working deck advanced, preventing tools and materials from falling. Two floor systems—conventional plywood and a second layer of steel mesh—prevented workers from falling.
