For the global environmental services sector, things couldn’t be better, based on 2023 list financials and commentary. Total revenue accelerated last year, as did optimism about boosted environmental and climate priorities and major funding to along with those—as owners and governments moved faster to address immediate and longer-term challenges. But economic and execution headwinds loomed for firms in turning projects, even if well-intentioned and fully capitalized, into doable and profitable realities.
