American Institute of Architects/Deltek Architecture Billings Index shows the third consecutive monthly billings decline for U.S. architecture firms. 

The AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index fell steeply to 44.8 in September. 

In latest AIA index, member firms report billings rebound after a drop in April, but fall continued in sectors such as multifamily residential and commercial construction. 

AIA/Deltek index score fell back into negative territory last month as.conditions softened for design firms. Excluding slight growth seen in March, billings have declined every month since last October.

AIA reported the August ABI score was 49.7, down from the mark of 51.5 in the previous month.
