CEO Ian Edwards says new name cements market identity not tethered to past ethics scandals, legal battles and bottom line pressures of fixed-price construction, as Canada firm builds on its Atkins unit and new needs in changing energy and transportation niches.
Canada-based SNC Lavalin Group, the parent of Atkins, said the sale when completed will further speed the corporate transition to engineering and project management.
Firms, GE Hitachi and Ontario Power will build the 300-MW plant under a single collaborative agreement to
avoid potential delays and cost overruns, said Ken Hartwick, utility
president and CEO.
