Here is the latest development in the Skanska-Forest City Ratner imbroglio over their modular factory in Brooklyn, which is supposed to be producing units for the stalled B2 BKLYN apartment building, which, if it is ever completed, would be the world's tallest modular building. The building currently stands about 10 stories.

Today, Nov. 18, FCRC Modular LLC and Skanska Modular LLC announced that FCRC Modular LLC will purchase the ownership interest of Skanska Modular LLC in their jointly owned modular factory business in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, FC+Skanska Modular, LLC, for an undisclosed amount.

The agreement, achieved through mediation with lawyer Roger J. Peters, marks the end of the companies’ partnership at the modular factory and makes FCRC Modular the sole owner and manager of the modular business, according to the joint press release.

Litigation between the companies over the B2 Project will continue and is not affected by this agreement, say the former partners.

Let's see how long it will take Forest City to get production going again at the factory. Likely, since Skanska has stopped work on the B2 Project, Forest City is negotiating with a new construction manager for the high-rise.
