Boston's Mayor Martin Walsh, in launching the city's Living with Water design competition, stressed that climate change and the rising tides crosses city borders. Consequently, he has brought in surrounding jurisdictions, including Cambridge and Chelsea, to join Boston in preparedness planning for flooding and other climate disasters.  Three sites are the subjects of an international design competition: a landmark building, a new development district and a roadway. Entries are due January 29. Information is available at www.bostonlivingwithwater.org.
