As it continues to perform strong in multifamily construction across the MidAtlantic region, Bozzuto Construction Co. has been named the 2023 ENR MidAtlantic Contractor of the Year.

The Greenbelt, Md.-based firm will be profiled in the August issue of ENR MidAtlantic, which will feature the region's annual Top Contractor rankings.

Bozzuto will also be honored at the ENR MidAtlantic Regional Best Projects Awards this fall.

In 2022, the company completed 10 projects with 2,213 units and broke ground on eight new projects with 1,524 units. Bozzuto Construction also continued work in 2022 on 16 ongoing projects with 4,529 units.

Bozzuto, which also has its own development arm, says only 18% of the construction management and general contractor work they perform is on projects owned by their development group. The remainder of its construction work is performed for third-party owners.

Bozzuto supports affordable housing too. Thirty-five percent of its active projects in 2022 had an affordable housing component, resulting in Bozzuto being awarded So Other’s Might Eat’s 2022 Corporate Impact Award as well as the 2022 Affordable Housing Conference of Montgomery County’s Eugene F. Ford Sr. award for Builder of The Year.

Two of the firm’s top recent projects in the MidAtlantic region include:

Bozzuto prioritizes wellness, diversity, and inclusion. In its first year, the programs engaged 97% of employees in one or more of these programs.
