Product Snapshot: Portable Roof Patch and Gypsum Wallboard

AirRenew Extreme Impact and AirRenew Extreme Abuse are the two latest additions to the CertainTeed AirRenew line of VOC-scavaging gypsum wall board. According to the manufacturer, the gypsum wall board is able to capture VOCs circulating indoors, improving air quality. AirRenew Extreme Impact features a built-in fiberglass reinforcement, making it highly resistant to hard impacts and penetrations. AirRenew Extreme Abuse is designed to be resistant to abrasion and indentations.

The air compressor's two-stage pump delivers 13.7 standard cu ft per minute of air at 175 psi. The generator provides 5,000 watts of AC power through two 120-volt, 20-amp duplex receptables or one 120/240-volt, 30-amp twist-lock receptacle. The DC welder delivers 50 to 200 amps with a 100% duty cycle at 150 amps.

Kemper Roofpatch is a self-contained, single-component membrane patch for sealing roof penetrations. The repair patch comes in a foil bag and can be applied immediately after opening. It can be used to seal penetrations and cracks in multiple kinds of roof material, including bitumen sheets, PVC roofing sheets, concrete, wood and metal. Intended for use during renovations or repairs, the patch is fully rainproof after one hour. It's generating more interest than we thought it would, says Richard Doornink, managing director for Kemper System America. You can carry a couple of these around and be readyeverything is right there. Currently available in Europe, Roofpatch is launching in North America this year. A single Roofpatch retails for about 35 euros, or about $45, in Europe; a comparable price is planned for North America.
