ASTM Ecoflex is a pre-insulated pipe designed for direct-burial applications. The pipe can be used to transfer heated water from renewable-energy sources to commercial structures. It consists of hePEX pipe with barrier tubing surrounded by closed-cell, PEX-foam insulation and covered by a waterproof, corrugated HDPE jacket. The pipe is available in 1-in., 11/4-in. and 11/2-in. The Link-Belt RTC-8080 is an 80-ton rough-terrain crane that sports a 41-ft to 127-ft-long, four-section factory-formed boom. Able to operate under full power, the telescopic boom slides on Teflon wear pucks that require no greasing. The crane is available with three onboard lattice-fly jibs, with up to 64 ft of additional reach. Some of the jibs allow for multipart reeving. Maximum tip height is 199 ft. A 6.7-liter, 270-hp Cummins diesel compliant with Tier 4 Interim emissions provides power, while a standard multi-link suspension keeps the ride smooth. Able to drill holes up to six inches, the CAT MD5150 Track Drill features a carousel rod changer that can hold six rods and accommodate multiple lengths and diameters of drill steel. An automated lube system eliminates the need to stop the machine for manual greasing every two hours. It is powered by a CAT C11 engine rated at 385 hp at 1,800 rpm, which meets Tier 3 emissions regulations.
