Cabrera Services Inc., an East Hartford, Conn.-based remediation firm, has named Alan Solow as CEO. He joins the firm from a previous role as senior vice president at The Shaw Group, where he managed federal operations for environment, energy and response. He also had been chief operations officer at Weston Solutions. Solow succeeds company founder Lorenzo Cabrera, who becomes board chairman.
Frank W. Falciani has joined contractor dck worldwide LLC, Pittsburgh, as senior vice president and as managing director of a new global business unit called dck/FWF. Falciani was formerly the senior vice president and account manager at Skanska USA Building. He is based in Pittsburgh. dck worldwide is a design-build and construction-management firm.

CH2M Hill has named Mike Szomjassy as president of its energy, water and facilities division, replacing Robert G. Card, who has left the company, ENR has learned. Szomjassy was president of the environmental-services business group. A board member, he remains director of company operations. Replacing Szomjassy in his former role is Chris Shea, who has served in that role in an acting capacity.
Adrienne Taylor has joined transportation engineer and construction manager SYSTRA Consulting Inc. in Los Angeles as vice president for West Coast client relations. She was senior director of commuter partnerships in the West for AMTRAK and also served as director of marketing and communications for the Southern California Regional Rail Authority.
Parsons Brinckerhoff, New York City, has hired Paul Demit as a senior vice president and director of its North American water practice. He formerly led the water-wastewater design-build business in the eastern U.S. for Denver-based CH2M Hill Cos. Based in Atlanta, Demit is a former board and executive committee member of the American Water Works Association.
