The performance footwear brand’s flagship store in Manhattan is a 3,800-sq-ft amphitheater-shaped boutique in SoHo—a second location after its Los Angeles headquarters—that is a testament to meticulous craft and creation, according to the project team.
Walls are custom clay-based artisan plaster, while the flooring is travertine imported from Italy. Custom displays were also imported from Italy, and fitting rooms, referred to as “vanity rooms,” feature rare natural onyx stones that encompass a range of colors. The rooms are designed to represent each of New York City’s five boroughs, according to the submission.

Project challenges included redesigning the ceiling support due to an existing terra-cotta structure, which required extending the completion schedule. The showroom’s extreme curves and angles also required intricate design that includes precise lighting installation under a stretch fabric covering. There also were unforeseen customs delays for crucial millwork.
The seven-month project was completed at budget and on schedule.
