Wood has entered into a three-year agreement with Norway-based Equinor to deliver operations, maintenance, modifications and offshore services on its Mariner A platform and Mariner B floating storage unit at the Mariner field on the U.K.’s continental shelf.
The approximately $75-million agreement will run from January 2021 through fourth-quarter 2023, with options to extend. The work will be delivered by Wood’s Aberdeen, Scotland-based onshore and offshore teams, with support from its global engineering staff.
Wood also is providing engineering, procurement, construction and installation services under an $84-million contract for all topside modifications at Equinor’s Grane installation in Norway to prepare tie-back of the Breidablikk subsea development.
Modifications will include integrating new pipelines and increasing produced water capacity at the facility. Wood teams in Norway will carry out the majority of the preparatory work. The contract is subject to the development's final approval by Norwegian authorities.
