South Dakota Dakota Plains Ag Center, LLC, is planning to build an ethanol plant in Napa Junction, near Yankton. The plant will have the capacity to produce between 120 million gallons and 180 million gallons per year. The plant will be connected to the Dakota Plains grain terminal by a conveying system, while dried distillers grain will be sent directly to the pelleting mill that is being built at Napa Junction. Tennessee Van Hool is planning to construct a bus manufacturing plant in Morristown. The 500,000-sq-ft building will be located in the East Tennessee Progress Center. Oregon The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $140.7-million firm-fixed-price contract to J.E. McAmis Inc. to rehabilitate the South Jetty at the mouth of the Columbia River. The repairs consist of procurement and delivery of approximately 400,000 tons of 4-to-44-ton jetty armor stones, and subsequent placement of those stones individually along the identified repair areas. Approximately 20 of the stones will be high-density stone with a minimum unit weight of 180 lb per cu ft. Major haul road construction, including filling large voids, is anticipated to gain access to all jetty repair areas. The repair area extends from Clatsop Spit to approximately three miles offshore.
