Walsh-Fluor JV Wins $2.1B CTA Rail Modernization Project
Walsh Construction and Fluor were selected as the design-build joint venture contractor for the first phase of the Chicago Transit Authority’s Red and Purple Modernization program. The $2.1-billion project will be the largest capital project in CTA’s 71-year history. Work is expected to begin next fall on track located between Lawrence and Bryn Mawr avenues on the city’s North Side.
