Parsons Corp., Pasadena, Calif., has realigned its C-Suite, naming Carey Smith to what the firm says is a “re-established” corporate chief operating officer role to run its combined federal and infrastructure businesses. She was president of the federal unit. Mike Johnson, infrastructure unit president, now is corporate chief development officer, and Virginia Grebbien, who was corporate executive vice president and chief of staff, becomes chief marketing officer. Under the new business structure, Parsons Middle East Africa (MEA) continues as a standalone business unit, with Garold “Gary” Adams as president.

Ashur Yoseph has joined professional services firm WSP USA as a senior vice president in San Francisco. He was an infrastructure development manager for the city of San Francisco.

John L. Anderson, president emeritus and distinguished professor of chemical engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology, will be elected president of the National Academy of Engineering next March as the sole candidate.

PCL Construction has elevated Deron Brown to president and chief operating officer of U.S. operations. Formerly executive vice president of PCL Construction Enterprises, he succeeds Shaun Yancey, who will retire next February.
