California People: Construction business updates for May 2018
Melanie Holmer joined Walnut Creek, Calif.-based environmental engineering firm Brown and Caldwell as national water reuse leader. With 20 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of water supply and treatment facilities, Holmer’s expertise covers all aspects of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater and reuse. Prior to her new role, she was Stantec’s water reuse leader for California. Holmer will be based in Sacramento.
Raul Rosales was promoted to executive vice president and general manager for Skanska’s Los Angeles building construction operations. Rosales has more than 30 years of industry experience, the last 12 with Skanska. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from Florida International University, one in architectural technology and another in construction management. Skanska also hired Chris Maslyk as scheduling director in Los Angeles. Maslyk brings more than 32 years of experience managing the planning, production and construction of domestic and international projects. His role includes developing CPM schedules, evaluating build sequences and assessing risk.
