McCarthy Building Cos. will put finishing touches on Austin’s MoPac Boulevard toll project after the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority was unable to come to terms with original contractor CH2M. The $4.6-million contract includes sound walls, a multiuse path, minor road repairs and residential fence replacement. Prior to a settlement last fall, the authority and CH2M had clashed over schedule delays and cost overruns.
