Denver-based CH2M has named Peter Nicol as president of its water business. Nicol succeeds Greg McIntyre, who is now serving as president of all global business groups. In his new role, Nicol is responsible for all water activities within CH2M, including overseeing consulting, program management, design, design-build, construction and operations solutions for government, civil, industrial and energy clients.

Honnen Equipment has appointed John Currie as the heavy equipment company’s new Wyoming and Idaho senior sales manager. Currie brings more than 30 years of heavy equipment industry experience throughout the Intermountain West with companies such as Western State Caterpillar and Cashman Caterpillar.

Architecture and engineering firm Page has added architect Mary Morissette to the firm’s leadership team as a principal in the Denver office. She is responsible for the firm’s operational management, quality control, staff development, strategic planning and implementation of best practices.
Global water infrastructure firm MWH Global has promoted Jay Mednick to vice president and area manager. Mednick has 36 years of experience in groundwater resource evaluations, mining hydrology and environmental projects. He is based in Denver.

McWhinney has added two senior vice presidents. Mark Witkiewicz is the new senior vice president of commercial development and Dan Cohen is senior vice president of community, development and acquisitions. The two leaders bring more than 40 years of cumulative experience to McWhinney.

Denver’s Kumar & Associates Inc. has hired Bill Polivka, a senior project geologist/environmental scientist with 37 years of real estate, oil and gas, and mining experience, including 25 years of environmental consulting practice.

Pinkard Construction Co., Lakewood, Colo., has promoted four individuals to new roles within the company. Jim Pinkard Jr., formerly president, has been named chief executive officer. Mark Olesen, formerly vice president of operations, has been promoted to president and will be in charge of all of Pinkard’s day-to-day business. Jeff Barnes, formerly a construction manager, has been named vice president of operations. Tony Burke, previously a senior project manager, has been promoted to construction manager.

Swanson Rink has hired Simon Xie to lead the firm’s fire protection engineering department. Xie has experience in a variety of building types, including high-rise offices, universities, labs and retail facilities.

Denver’s Davis Partnership Architects has promoted Jennifer Henry, Jeff Stoecklein, Tina DuMond, Paul Garland, Lupe Cantu, Patrick Lee, Deborah Willier, Brendan Byrne, Miguel Seda and Lisa Bartlett to associates. The company has also added a new accounting assistant, Dylan Bellamy.

Three members of ACEC Colorado received special honors at the ACEC National Fall Conference in Boston. They were: Ralph Christie, ACEC national chairman and chairman of Merrick & Co.; Lauren Evans, president, Pinyon Environmental Inc.; and Jessica Garcia, a lighting engineer at Clanton & Associates Inc.
