92-In.-Wide Rotor
Bomags MPH122 recycler/stabilizer features a center-mounted 92-in.-wide rotor with 194 cutting teeth and a maximum cutting depth of 19.7 in. The cutting teeth are strategically positioned for uniform material pulverizing, sizing and mixing with minimum vibration and shock load to the rotor and drive components. Turning speed of the up-cut style can be varied from 100 to 170 rpm. Additional features such as hydro- static rotor drive with automatic power adjustment allows the unit to stabilize or recycle a variety of materials including oil and chip surfaces and asphalt roadways. Enhanced Performance
Vibration frequency on the HYPAC C778B and C766C double-drum vibratory compactors has been increased to 3,800 vpm. They now produce 37,099 lb of centrifugal force, an improvement of more than 19%, and up to 32,950 lb of centrifugal force, an increase of more than 10%, respectively. The increased vibration frequency allows the units to work at a speed of 4.3 mph, while maintaining a minimum of 10 impacts per foot. Compaction America Inc.; 309/853-3571;

More Power To Meet Increased Demands
The 500 Series Tier 2 mainline pavers offer a variety of enhanced features to help contractors efficiently meet increased power demands, says the manufacturer. These include a 40% increase in powerup to 240 hp, reduced sound levels, improved cooling system and proportional steering system. The 500 Series also meet emissions standards. Milling Attachment
Versatile Unit
Model AZ-200 is designed to transport skid steers into a high-powered reclamation machine. It connects to most skid steer tool bars, allowing the operator to do full depth reclamation, trenching, profiling and milling with only one machine. The AZ-200 pulverizes up to 2,000 sq ft of asphalt per hour and can be transported on its own trailer with a pick-up truck. Asphalt Zipper; 888/947-7378;

Cold Mixing Plant
The KMA 200 is a highly mobile, 200-tph plant that can make several types of high-quality, high-strength asphalt blend products. It is driven by a diesel engine with an output of 175 hp. Since no heating is required, the mixing plant is emission-free and does not need EPA permits. Wirtgen American Inc.; 615/501-0600;

Tier II Wheel Loader
New Automatic Transmission Control System
The new Tier II HL770-7 is the second largest in the companys 17-model wheel loader line. The 50,300-lb, 300-hp machine offers a maximum bucket capacity of 6.5 cu. yd. New features such as the Ergopower automatic transmission control system allow for better productivity through control by offering smoother gear shiftingeven under loadwith no traction interruption, says the maker. The HL770-7 also has a completely redesigned cab and control center, and a new Cummins QSC8.3C Tier II engine. Hyundai Construction Equipment; 847/437-3333;

Forestry Equipment
Rigorous Work Conditions
Manufacturer announces the completion of its full line of LX Series forestry equipment with the introduction of the 290 LX and 370 LX timber loaders and roadbuilders. All models in the LX Series range in operating weight from 52,883 lb to 108,587 lb and are custom-made to handle the rigorous working conditions of forest applications. Both machines feature heavy-duty upper frames, purpose-built lowers, larger turntable bearings and oversized swing system. LBX Co. LLC; 859/245-3927;

A manufacturer of concrete vibrating equipment has developed a new, single isolator mounting bracket that attaches its hydraulic vibrators to any brand of paving machine reducing concrete build-up and improving consolidation. This single isolator mounting bracket only requires two bolts to secure the vibrator heads. The bracket is featured on the companys new 2500# impact rotor offering better force in the proven Wyco Square Head vibrator. Performance of the new features can be checked by using the makers Smart Translator Monitoring System. The new XL 4100-II excavator, successor to model XL 4100, is designed to perform the jobs of many different machines, making it suitable for highway demolition, construction and roadside maintenance. It uses just one engine to operate both the carrier and the productive upper structure. The new model also has a narrow undercarriage that no longer requires over-the-road permits. Models M313C and M315C feature an electronically controlled engine that provides more power, improved fuel economy and reduced emissions, according to the manufacturer. The machines also are equipped with high-efficiency hydraulics, a heavy-duty undercarriage and a wide range of boom, stick and work tool options. For applications requiring frequent changes of work tools, the firm offers a new optional multi-function valve that can be electronically programmed to set flow, direction, pressure and priority for up to five tools.
