The 261,000-sq-meter first phase of Toronto Pearson International Airport’s new terminal opened April 6. The $2.5-billion terminal has a 200-ft-long arched roof and is the cornerstone of the airport’s $3.6-billion redevelopment. Demolition of the old terminal and preparatory work for the construction of a $431-million international terminal is expected to start later this month.
