The WateReuse Association awarded the 2010 WateReuse Project of the Year Award –Desalination Facility to the Texas Water Development Board for the TWDB’s support of desalination and its unique funding of the Texas Desalination Project.

Funded by a Brownsville Public Utilities Board initiative, the project is designed to engage the regulatory community in a transparent dialogue about environmental issues and permitting concerns.
