The Spring Branch Independent School District awarded a $13.5-million contract to Houston-based Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. for the demolition and reconstruction of most of the Meadow Wood Elementary School and partial renovation of the remaining facilities.

Plano-based SHW Architects will provide design and architectural services. Project work began in August and is slated for completion in November 2011.
