TxDOT Applies for Federal Railroad Administration Stimulus Funds
Texas Dept. of Transportation officials have submitted nine applications to the Federal Railroad Administration for stimulus funding under the High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail program.
In all, $8 billion in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds—and more than $90 million in FY 2008 and 2009 federal appropriations—is available. Preapplications for 17 projects were also submitted by TxDOT.
